Collection of published historical material concerning George Washington University (earlier names: Columbian College in the District of Columbia; Columbian University). Includes addresses by university faculty, alumni, administrators, and speakers at convocations; government documents concerning the university, student society publications, and some issues of treasurers' and comptrollers'reports (1876-1944). Also includes some issues of the George Washington University bulletin, 1905-1944, which contain some catalog issues for the university, the George Washington University Law School, the George Washington University School of Medicine, and for other schools within the university, as well as some summaries of dissertations written there. Vols. for 1828, 1831, 1833-1834, 1840-1843, 1845, 1849, 1851, 1854 are blank. Some items cataloged separately; card index to some items.
